battery

My laptop battery was working fine an hour ago and how it says that the condition is poor and cannot be charged and it needs to be replaced. Is the replacement free of charge or do i have to pay for it?

You have to pay for it. You can buy one from the computer store under the library.

actually it depends. usually there is at least a one year warranty on the batteries. However if the comp is over a year old you will probably need to buy the battery.

I bought my computer last year as an incoming freshman

Then your warranty would have expired and you will need to buy a new one. The battery is pretty much the only thing not covered by the four year laptop protection plan.

I need a new battery too. How much do they cost if I buy one through Drew?

Betsy Black 01-06-2011 09:21 AM

The cost of a new battery for the junior T400 model is $95, tax included. Please contact the computer store at x3317 if you're interested in purchasing through Drew.

Can you tell me the specific battery model number I need. Possibly I can find one that's less expensive online? TIA.

You can buy one online but stay away from ebay because most of the dealers are either fraudulent or sell poor batteries and "one fits all" which dont really exist.

Thanks. I'd like to try amazon but I'm not sure which of the numerous Lenovo batteries they offer is the right one.
