Linguine & Lust
C.I.A.O. will be hosting a reception and lecture tomorrow, Wednesday, October 21, 2009 in Hall of Sciences Room S4. The lecture will begin at 6 p.m., however there will be a brief reception in the Hall of Sciences Rotunda starting at 5.30 p.m. before the lecture begins. Dr. Fred Gardaphe, of Stonybrook University, will be conducting a lecture entitled Linguine and Lust: Food and Sex in Italian/American Culture. The lecture will discuss Italian and American cultures and their different attitudes towards food and sex. It examines what those attitudes are and how these two cultures have influenced the creation of Italian American culture.
