Coyote sighting

I'm pretty sure I saw a coyote tonight, around 8:15pm, around Sitterly and Lewis House. A lot of crows were squawking, and the coyote was chasing after rabbits and generally running aorund. He didn't make any noise and stayed away from us after I yelled at him. He ran off down the Sitterly parking lot towards the woods behind the church.

Just thought people would be interested. They don't pose much of a risk to people, and it was a normal time for them to be out, but still, a coyote.

I saw it that same night up by the new dorm. I was able to get quite close to it and it showed pretty much no interest in me. Very cool.

I saw it this morning around 8:50 am on Glenwilde Rd. Crazy.

Are you sure it was a coyote and not a fox? I've seen several fox around Drew.

There have been many coyote sightings in my hometown of South Orange, probably due to what I consider overdevelopment of the area.

Coyote pup

My husband and I saw a coyote pup Sunday morning in the parking lot by the back gate Sunday morning (June 8th). We weren't sure it was a coyote, since the tail was not bushy, but when I checked Google images for coyote pup, I could see that it was the animal we saw: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...Den%26sa %3DG

Definitely a coyote--kind of mangy looking.

They are around...

I saw on the news recently... there are many coyotes in the east, particularly where there is a deer population, since coyotes like to eat deer...

Coyotes in the east, huh? Sounds weird. I hope they're safe.
