Tasting Palestine: Contextualizing Food, History, and Culture with Laila El-Haddad
 
Join SJP on October 22nd at 6 PM in the DOYO/Arts 106 for an evening with Laila El-haddad. Laila El-haddad is a Palestinian author and activist. She is a key voice for understanding the situation in Gaza. Through her award-winning blog and book Gaza Mom and The Gaza Kitchen: A Palestinian Culinary Journey, and her work as a journalist, documentarian, media activist, public speaker and policy adviser she provides rare insight into the human experience of the region. Originally from Gaza, she presently lives in Maryland with her husband and their 3 children.
