I'd say it is probably best to start on the 14 meal plan. I know very few people who use all 19 meals at the commons, and this way you can try out the snackbar, java city, and the space with your points. With the 14 meal plan you get 157 points for the snack bar, and with the 10 meal plan you get 254.
