If your wireless network at home is encrypted (password protected/not open), you'll need to configure your computer. If it is open, just go to wireless connection status -> find WLAN -> click on your network and click connect. If it has a lock next to the name, it's encrypted. It'll tell you you need to modify your settings (or whatever it says), and then you'll need to input the WEP/wireless password that came with your router.
