And if you dont know the IP address, if you know the name of the computer (right click my computer --> properties --> computer name tab) on the network, that works as well. Just go to Start --> All programs --> accessories --> communications --> remote desktop connection. enter in the name of the computer in the dialogue box and it will connect.
