That is very interesting. Seems to suggest we have a problem running some commands in the login script.
Mind trying the following?
At the login screen, click on Advanced (I don't have a Vista machine in front of me, but on those, I think there is a link called "Advanced login" under the password box that does the same thing--only shows up if you are at the Novell login provider and not the Windows-only one).
Go to the Scripts tab and uncheck Close Automatically. This will keep any messages from the login script on the screen after it executes.
Go ahead and log in. You should see a Results dialog at some point that shows the output of the login script running. You should see it mapping drives and any error messages that appear. Go ahead and copy and paste those results here.
