Hi I am a student here and I need to have SPSS on my computer to analyze data for my Adv Research project. How do I go about doing that?

Thank you!

On your Drew laptop's desktop, you should have a folder labeled Application Explorer. Within there, go to DREW > Install Software > SPSS 16 for Windows to install SPSS.

You need to log in to the machine using the "On-Campus" option for the App Explorer to show the software. If you have an empty App Explorer, or one without a DREW folder, this is most likely because you did not select the On-Campus option when logging into the machine.

Default One additional note . . .

One additional point - while you need to be logged in "on campus" to install the software, you will also need a campus network connection - wired or wireless to run it. You can use the off-campus login and still run the software as long as you're physically on the campus and actually have a network connection. SPSS has to communicate directly with a license server in order to operate.

If you have any trouble installing SPSS, you can call the CNS Helpdesk or bring your computer down. It usually just a matter of changing some settings or installing one or two prerequisite updates.

Default no Drew folder

I apparently need a newer version of SPSS on my office desktop and do not have a DREW folder in Applications Explorer. Any suggestion for getting one?

Thanks,
Patrick

The Drew licensed SPSS is not available off-campus since our license restricts us to a certain number of concurrent users and we cannot make the license metering server that enforces that available over the internet.
