![]() Do you enjoy drawing, sketching, or printing? Could you find a use for $75? If so, the Admissions Office has a proposition for you. We are looking to design new long sleeve t-shirts for our Student Ambassador Program.
Our Student Ambassadors volunteer their time and their dorm rooms to host high school seniors who have an interest in experiencing what it is like to be a student at Drew University. During an overnight stay these students will eat in the dining hall, sleep in their dorm room, and observe classes the following morning/afternoon. For many high school seniors, this overnight visit is one of the biggest factors in making their final college decision. Specifically, we are looking for a design for the back of the t-shirt that best captures the spirit and the role of the Ambassador Program. Whether you are an Art Major, Art Minor, or just enjoy drawing, we would love to have you submit a design! Please keep in mind the following parameters when considering a design: - First and foremost, designs must be done clearly on white paper in black ink! The design that is chosen for the back of our Ambassador T-shirt will be scanned and transferred to Adobe Illustrator. The final product will print in white on a solid blue or green t-shirt. The design should be a maximum of 10-11" wide and 12-14" tall. These are approximations. Bear in mind that this will be a design centered on the back of a long sleeve t-shirt. Images that need to be resized dramatically one way or another often decrease in resolution/clarity. - Designs can be submitted to the front desk of the Admissions Office (Wesley House) 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday & 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM Saturday. - If possible, submit your design in a protective folder/envelope made out to the attention of Brian Grzymkowski. Also, be sure to indicate that it is a t-shirt design entry. - To be considered, your design must be submitted by Monday, November 13th 2006. Our Ambassador Coordinator, Ambassador Student Coordinators, and Admissions Staff will select the design that best represents the Ambassador Program. The student whose design is selected to go to print will be notified by Friday, November 17th. That student will receive a check for $75 and a long sleeve t-shirt with their design. Some past t-shirt designs from various departments have included the Ranger Bear, The Forest, serving as a guide, juggling a variety of multiple academic/extracurricular interests, etc. These are merely some examples, not a suggestive list. Creativity is encouraged! You can direct any questions to Brian Grzymkowski - Admissions Officer & Ambassador Coordinator at bgrzymko@drew.edu. ![]() Last edited by Brian S.
