November Student Technology Workshops
The Student Technology Education Lab
is offering three workshops for students during the month of November. All workshops take place in Brothers College, Room 1 (in the basement, just down the hall from the CNS help desk).
Advanced MS Word 2003 for Theses and Dissertations
Friday, November 6 1:00 PM, Friday, November 20 2:45PM
1 Hour 15 Mins. Please bring a bibliography and a long paper with you or have them saved on your F: drive or on a portable flash drive to work with in class. Students will learn how to create footnotes and endnotes, create section breaks in order to use variable formatting in different parts of a document, format page numbers to conform to various style manual requirements and learn the necessary steps for creation of an index.
Moodle Site Building Basics for Student Groups:
Tuesday, November 10 12:00PM
You will get to know the interface, how to access and set up your group page with files, links, assignments and discussion forums. Bring along a list of items you want to include and get a few files ready to upload into your site. That way you will get relevant hands-on training!
