So long as your version of responsible drinking includes a minimum of 4 drinks between 5 and 7 pm...an interesting interpretation of "tonight", in any case.

the promotion was for the purchase of four drinks period, not four for one person. we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who is intoxicated on ANY day. and trust me, we utilize it.

in addition, as a current staff member, former pub employee and alum i would never approve any promotion that would put the pub in a bad position.

I'm glad to hear this, but your original posting doesn't read this way at all, you realize. "Buy three drinks, get YOUR fourth free." sounds an awful lot like one person is the one meant to be doing the drinking.
