most of the bathrooms on campus smell. i think they're usually clean, flushable, and stocked though. they just smell, and you fear that it is as clean as it looks.

Depending on how neurotic you are, you may wish to use a paper towel to turn off the sink and open the door, I've grown many a bacteria from the paper towel dispenser, sink handles, and the door.
