Default Voicemail set up

I am trying to set up my voicemail. I dial 4000 and it asks me to enter my mailbox number. I am entering my extension which is 5134 but the recording say it isn't recognizable. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Does anyone know what to do?

We have created a voicemail box for extension 5134, so now you can set it up. If you have any more questions or problems please call telecommunications at extension 3333, thank you.
