Default Battery Problem

The little light up battery symbol underneath the screen of my laptop is blinking orange and when I scroll my mouse over the black plug symbol next to how much my battery is charged says that damage has been done to my battery and it needs to be replaced. I haven't done anything differently with my lap top and it is almost always plugged in since I don't bring it to any of my classes. Does anyone know what I need to do?

This same thing happened to my battery. If you go the the company's website, they have a test that you can run. If it comes back positive, they will send you a new battery for free. Hope this helps!

Oh that's so great! Do you happen to have the web site or just know the company? I am really clueless when it comes to this. Thanks!

Hi, the same thing happened to my battery as well. The battery issue is one that was reported by Lenovo. You go to the site and check to see if the battery falls under the replacement program that they have. If the battery fails when the site runs the check, it should bring you to a webpage where you give your address to Lenovo for them to send you a replacement battery. The web page where you can check the battery is:

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-67765

I hope this helps!
