Default Commuting

I'm a commuter . . . a half hour drive away. Just figured I'd pop in and post.

I'm a commuter too, from Somerville NJ every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for wonderful classes at the Theo School.

Is anyone familliar with the student train pass? I'm not sure if it has been suggested to Drew commuters but I recently found out about its existence and it should save me a bundle.

the student train pass will save you a good amount of money, what you do to get one is request a form from the ticket vendor, fill it out, get the dean of students to sign it, then return it to NJ Transit. This should save you about 10% of your travel costs

Well, I just found out that you have to go to school more than three times a week.....I'm not.

BUT as it turns out, a 10-ride pass is actually cheaper for me as a result of that. Not too shabby.

Default 10 ride pass

That's great, how much is that? I'm having the same issue.

I'm planning on doing it since I'm from North Bergen. By the way, I heard that Drew only allows juniors and seniors to have cars on campus. Can anyone tell me anything about that? I'm a clueless transfer student.

The rule about juniors and seniors having cars applies to resident students. Certainly, they let commuters commute and park their cars on campus. You register your car with Public Safety, pay a fee, and get a parking sticker. You're allowed to park in the commuter lot (by Sitterly, away from the dorms, but right on top of TOE), in the main lot, Tilghman lot, and any other white-lined space not reserved for another group.
