Forget fancy boxes or storage crates, just get yourself some industrial garbage bags and throw everything in. Makes moving much easier.

I love sensible people. I think I'm going to get on board the Gary train and do just that.

and here i am trying to legitimize my premature packing by gollyphoning in the shed. whoops.

im excited to pack. but that could be primarily because i never unpacked from freshman year and don't really have to DO anything...haha. freshman year packing was EVIL. mainly because i'm neurotic.

What I have done since the start of junior year is to just save up the plastic stop and shop bags during the year and I pack most of my things in those when I move. Things even stay organized that way because each bag relates to a cetain area of my room. For example, there is a plastic bag of things that go in my center desk drawer, a bag for the top desk drawer, etc. Bigger items go in larger Target/LNT/BBB bags. The bags the book store gives you when you buy books are great for moving too. I also find I can bring in a lot more at a time this way because it is easy to hold many plastic bags, but it is hard to hold more than one or two boxes.

....and now back to packing. ughhhh

It is a little late for this advice at this point but for people flying in the best option is a combination of shipping thing here and buying most of the stuff once you get here. Then you can rent a storage place for breaks.

The only thing I hate about packing is taking my clothes off their hangers, so this year I'm going to try to place a steel rod with all the hangers on it in my car and drive it up to Drew that way. I hope it will work but if not, it'll be just hilarious.
