Default Internet Access

I'm getting this error message when I attempt to access the internet: uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for defender.drew.lan

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_dom

I'm using my own Dell XPS M1210. I was able to access the 'net on the first day of class, but was unable to last night and today.

Shall I create an exception for this site?

You should. What is happening is that our wireless firewall is intercepting the request, and since it uses SSL it's getting a mismatch.

Firefox 3 changed the bad certificate behavior in an attempt to weed out bogus websites. We need to update our wireless authentication to make this work better but it is a project that we're not yet finished with, and at any rate accepting the cert will allow you to proceed (you may need to reenter the web address once you're authenticated.)
