Putty?

Wondering if I can use putty to access my Drew account. I like Unix and I like to use pine/alpine and command-line rather than gui for email. Anybody know if this can be done?

If you have your own Linux box, you can certainly configure Pine to work with GMail. There are a number of examples of configuration settings for GMail. Here's one: http://people.virginia.edu/~ll2bf/docs/nix/alpine.html

You'll always need to use your full @drew.edu address as the username for the Google IMAP and SMTP servers. IMAP should be enabled on your Drew GMail account by default.

Drew doesn't currently provide a public shell account service to all students, although Computer Science students have a shell account for coursework.
