Default Do we get cash for textbook sales at the bookstore?

Just wondering, also, do they give you a good deal, or would I be better off selling them myself or on ebay?

As long as the bookstore wants your book, they will give you some money for it. Some books they can't buy back (basically, they won't make money off of them if they try to resell them next year), but most of the normal textbooks you can get some money for. It's probably the easiest option, even if it's not the one that will get you the most money for the books you no longer want.

If you're looking to get any appreciable amount of money back, I wouldn't recommend selling them at the bookstore - freshman year I sold back four books and got back $9! Try selling them on amazon/ebay/etc - you'll get a lot more of the value back for them.

You should look at textbooksnow.com. I sell my books back to them every semester, and I get a lot more than you would get at the bookstore. It's really convenient to sell back to them, as they also pay for you to ship the books to them. You go to their website and type in the ISBNs of the books you want to sell back and it tells you how much they'd give you for it. Then you print out a shipping slip right from your computer and in a few weeks they send you a check. It's always worked out really well for me.

Yeah, I'd stay away from the bookstore. You'll get almost nothing back.
