“Willie Perdomo is the author of Where a Nickel Costs a Dimeand Smoking Lovely, which won the 2004 PEN American Beyond Margins Award. His poems are raw slices of street served on a fused platter of salsa and hip-hop, Black Spanglish, letters and songs, invoking prophets, saints, poets, hustlers, basketball legends. Perdomo has been featured onHBO's "Def Poetry Jam"and BET’s "Hughes’ Dream Harlem." Perdomo is the recipient of the New York Foundation for the Arts Fiction and Poetry Fellowships.”
