![]() Hello,
I am new to Drew and NJ. I got up here from Austin, TX in April to work as Assistant Swim Coach here. I am looking for a 2 bedroom house or apt for my friend and a dog- both very sweet, and house-trained. I am having trouble with the whole apt. search thing because of the dog. I am an independent, responsible female. -also very neat and tidy. So, please if anyone has leads let me know. Please email lboettri@drew.edu Thank you, Lisa |

![]() Unfortunately, pet-friendly apartments can be tricky to find around here. Tough for cats, almost impossible for dogs.
Your best bet may be to call a realtor. Or you can check out some MLS (Multiple Listing Service) (The Service that realtors use) web sites: This one does all of Jersey http://www.njrealestate.com/ This one does only North Jersey http://new.gsmls.com/public/ Good Luck! ![]() You can check the apartments where I used to live,
www.treetop-apts.com I know they allow the tenants to have dogs for an additional fee. I'm not sure what the fee currently is because we've only had cats. It's not the closest place, but I did make the commute for a couple of years without too much trouble. ps. ignore the pictures on the website, they are just stock photos. It's not that the place looks bad, I think they just haven't taken professional photos to put up for the different communities.

![]() I hated to do it but we got a realtor (Weichert) and paid to get the listing for a 2 bedroom apartment in Chatham where we have a cat and the downstairs tenant has a dog (it's a divided house with a big yard). I think you might have better luck renting a house than an apartment but they are pricey.
If you're willing to have a shared living situation, Craig's List or Roommates.com are useful tools for finding a place in the area. Good luck! |
