Green Sheikh: Sustainability and Holistic Living at Drew
Come hear an inspirational lecture by Sheikh Abdel Aziz bin Ali Al-Nuaimi. Sheikh Al-Nuaimi is a member of the UAE Royal Family and he is known as the "Green Sheikh." He is the environmental adviser to the Ajman Government and he is also the chairman of Green Base Environmental Services. He is the founder of the Majlis for Holistic Knowledge and Holistic health. He has a very long list of academic qualifications including a doctorate from Griffith University in Australia, bachelor degrees in petroleum and chemical engineering, and several diplomas environmental and other studies. He regularly makes TV and radio appearances and has spoken at multiple universities including Harvard University. Refreshments will be served!

Come hear fellow Drew students talk about their recent experience at the MSA National East Zone Conference. They will discuss their personal experiences and different lectures and events that inspired them. This is a great experience for those interested in attending next year.

Thursday: April 14, 2011 @ 6 pm in LC28
The Drew MSA is excited to host a night of the Palestinian Film Festival. We will be showing the movie "Private."
The synopsis for the film: Mohammad, his wife and their five children live in a large, isolated house located mid-way between a Palestinian village and an Israeli settlement. Viewed as a strategic lookout point, the house is forcefully taken over by Israeli soldiers, who confine Mohammad and his family to a few downstairs rooms in daytime and a single room at night. Against his wife’s wishes, Mohammad decides to keep the family together in the house until the soldiers move on,
creating division among his kin and a precarious relationship with the soldiers.
