Default Who Needs Air?

Everyone read this email today?

Quote:
Unfortunately, we are experiencing abnormally warm temperatures for thesecond week in May. However, the extended forecast indicates the
daytime highs in the low 70's and mid 60's. More importantly, overnight
lows are expected to drop into the mid 40's. Unlike the heating and
cooling system at most private residences, the systems that supports our
campus buildings is not designed to switch from heating or cooling and
vice versa on a moments notice. Until the overnight lows are
consistently warmer, we will not be able to transition from heating to
cooling. If you have any questions or concerns, I encourage you to
contact the Service Response Center at extension 3510.

After a series of emails with this man, apparently they feel Drew University would just be too uncomfortable if they turned on any cooling units. I guess the staff, students, and faculty can't figure out the concept of cold temperatures = put on a jacket of sorts. It's much better to let us sweat it out, particularly those of us who are graduating and can enjoy this final memory of a stuffy and swealtering dorm!

.... Personally, I'd rather wear a jacket and enjoy some sort of cool air entering my room. But I'm just a student. What do I mean to the university?
