Default School supplies

So I'm wondering, for all you current Drewids who read this... is it useful to get school supplies? Like notebooks, binders, folders, etc? Or do you do most of your work on the laptop? I'm just curious cuz I don't want to get a bunch of notebooks and then have them sit, unused, in my room the entire year. Suggestions/advice?

oh yeah, sure, you'll definitely need that stuff. i usually just get a 5-subject notebook for notes and some folders for handouts and call it a day. it's all personal preference really. if you like binders, get binders. if you like individual notebooks, get those. just remember to be thrifty, because you're going to have to be carrying this stuff around a lot as well as all of your books.

and actually, not many people bring computers to class, except for computer science classes. but if that's your preference, then go for it.

Yeah it really depends on the class. It's really not convenient to take notes on the computer in a discussion class. The only times that I've seen that students have really opted to use their laptops is in lecture-only type classes, like stats. But most of the classes I've taken, no one brings their computer. And I personally always take notebook notes.

People generally don't bring computers to take notes on, because if you're just writing notes as you would in a notebook, it doesn't make sense to. It's more of a hassle for little benefit, if you're just typing up what you would have handwritten, and you can't make drawings or arrows or whatever flourishes you like to add to your notes.
