Exclamation DAY OF SILENCE - This Friday

Come participate in the Alliance's Day of Silence (dayofsilence.org)!!!

The Day of Silence is a national movement to break down the silence that is imposed on many people in the queer (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, straight ally, asexual, etc.) community. Some, like Matthew Shepard and Lawrence King, were silenced through murder.

To support the Day of Silence, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE SILENT ALL DAY. If you need to talk during the day, please support the queer community by wearing one of the patches that are being given out in the University Center. These patches show closeted and silenced students on campus that there are people at Drew that will accept them for who they are.

Schedule of Events:

Day of Silence - 8am

ResLife's Silent Rave - 4pm UC Courtyard (bring an mp3 player and headphones)

Breaking of the Silence - 6pm UC Courtyard (with refreshments)

Night of Noise - 7pm UC Courtyard (featuring All of the Above, Eric Valosin and Michelle Ovalle, On a Different Note, off-campus performers, and Jen Dugan)
