Default Rangers in the News

Jennifer Schoepflin (Sewell, NJ) was named the Freedom Conference Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference office Monday afternoon. Schoepflin paced Drew in scoring with four goals and two assists in the Rangers’ 2-0 week. The sophomore attacker scored half of the team’s goal in Wednesday’s 4-2 win over SUNY New Paltz. She then added another two goals plus an assist to lead the Rangers to a 3-1 victory over visiting Ramapo College on Saturday afternoon. She leads Drew on the season with 4 goals and 2 assists for a team-high 10 points.

Also earning honors this week were men’s soccer players Dan Biggers (Boulder, CO), Tyler Brisk (Closter, NJ) and Joe Favata (Livingston, NJ) as the trio was named to the NJCU/Adidas Liberty Cup All-Tournament Team. Biggers, who starts in goal for the Rangers posted shutouts in both of Drew’s games at the New Jersey City University tournament this past weekend, while Favata aided that result as the Rangers’ last line of defense. Brisk tallied one assist in the two-day tournament.
