Default Singers Needed for Choir in Jersey City

The Holy Rosary Latin Rite choir is looking for new singers to fill out its roster. The choir sings the Latin mass (Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Agnus Dei, Sanctus, Bendictus) in addition to motets and hymns in Latin each Sunday. The choir also performs special selections for High Holy Days and Easter.

The choir has a special need for altos who can sightread well and have experience with 4 (or more) part harmony.

All other voices parts are also welcome, particularly tenors and basses.

The Holy Rosary Latin Rite choir practices in Jersey City on Wednesday evenings and sings at the 10:00 am mass each Sunday. High Holy Days are usually 5 pm.

Holy Rosary is accessible via the Grove Street PATH station (about a 15 minute walk).

You do not have to be Catholic to sing, just have a love of sacred music and a willingness to sing with a great group of people.
