Smile Number of courses

I have a general question,
so we've received our packet to register in classes,
how many blocks do people usually fill?
in other words,
how many credits should we take each semester?
The timetable that was sent to us was only for one semester, correct??
I'm confused.
I have 32 credits and I feel like its way too much.
But I really want to take these classes, am i able to enroll in some of these classes for second semester??

thank you!

well most people usually enroll in 12-16 credits worth of courses during their freshman year in each semester. 12-16 credits puts most people in the range of 3-4 classes. However, the registrar does allow enrollment up to as much as 20 credits per semester.

Hope that helps

The standard is 16 credits. If you average 16 credits per semester for four years you will get the number of credits total needed to graduate (128). However you can range from 12-20 any semester. I find 18 credits or more will be hard to handle, especially if you have any labs, recitations, etc.
Don't worry about having 32 credits lined up. When I was a freshman I wanted to take like eight classes, and I asked the same question. Pick out around 16 credits (four classes) and plan on taking the others second semester. You can't enroll for second semester yet though, not until November I believe.
