Biographies of presenters:


John C Kraeutler, is a 1984 graduate from Drew, and was a double major in Economics and Zoology. John owns KHFM, a financial services firm. The firm manages money and develops portfolio strategies for institutions, non profits and high net worth individuals. He is an advisor on commercial financing issues and planning for a variety of coporations. John serves on advisory boards for small, community banks, as well as nonprofit organizations in the area.

David Anderson is Executive Vice President of Working in Support of Education, a Non-Governmental Organization that promotes economics, financial and social entrepreneurship education among the nationís youth. He is responsible for helping the company expand its programs and for strategy, marketing and development. He is also the acting Director of the companyís Financial Literacy Certification Program. He joined w!se after a twenty year career at Citigroup. There, he oversaw a unit in the bank that supports the process of financial sector and capital markets development in developing countries around the world. In this capacity, he provided technical assistance and other forms of advice to public and private sector financial institutions to facilitate financial sector modernization and reform. Prior to that, David held a number of other management positions at Citigroup in the areas of business development, marketing, mergers and acquisitions and strategy.

David holds a BA from University College, London in England and an MBA from Columbia University in the City of New York. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Economics at the New School for Social Research in New York and is actively engaged in Economics and Finance education, having served on the adjunct faculties at several colleges and universities in the New York and surrounding areas for over a decade. He is presently on the adjunct faculty in the Economics Department at Drew.

Marc Tomljanovich received his B.A. from Northwestern University in 1992 , double majoring in economics and political science. He then completed his PhD at Cornell University in 1998, and has been teaching at liberal arts colleges (Union College, Colgate University) since then. His research focuses on applied macroeconomic issues, including the impact of monetary policy structures on financial markets, the influence policymakers have on regional and national economic growth, and the effects of options listings on underlying financial instruments. Marcís work has appeared in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including American Economic Review, Southern Economic Journal, Empirical Economics and Contemporary Economic Policy. In January 2008, Marc was a visiting scholar at National Sun-Yat Sen University in Taiwan. In 2006 he was the recipient of a National Sciences Foundation grant that helped fund an annual national workshop for macroeconomics research at liberal arts colleges.
